Samaira Rao, born on February 3, 1984, studied from Dubai International School and college. A resident of Mumbai, the big screen always baffled her. So she began modelling. Fortunately, she bagged a role in the movie "Isi Life Mein" by Vidhi Kasliwal in 2010. But the movie was not a big success.

She embarked on her Indian television career on August 6, 2012, by starring on " Love Marriage Ya Arranged Marriage Love Marriage Ya Arranged Marriage written by Kaml >> Read More... Love Marriage Ya Arranged Marriage ", as Mansi Anup Sisodiya. Aired on Sony Entertainment Television India, this particular serial juxtaposed two ideas: love marriage and arranged marriage. Samaira Rao had a spectacular start with Sphere Origins Production House, also considering the sizzling topic that the serial was about. Her character, Mansi is presented as a conservative person for who arranged marriage suits best. But her friend, Shivani has conflicting ideas.

After this gigantic break, Samaira was considered for interesting ‘episodic themes’, "Crime Patrol”, for instance. Samaira said, “I am a huge fan of Crime Patrol. But I never felt that it was my cup of tea to play episodic roles, as one needs to get more realistic playing such roles.” On December 12, 2013, she was seen on this fabled television show as an NGO.

"Savitri", again a drama show on the channel Life Ok, was bagged by Samaira. She played the role of the protagonist, Savitri, who loved her husband, Satya tremendously and had to fight Rahukaal, the devil for him.

Playing such variety of roles has finally helped Samaira to make it to the big screen. She has bagged two major Bollywood flicks, one Rajshri Productions’ "Prem Ratan Dhan Payo" and down south a film called "Turn West". She said, “I play a parallel lead in the Rajshri family drama and a lead in Turn West.”
Hence, Samaira, a mere student has made it big by making it a worthwhile struggle in the Indian Television industry.
