She belongs to a Konkani speaking family from Karnataka, but raised in Mumbai. Creativity is in her blood as her father owns an advertising agency in Mumbai & who can forget the talented ‘Amrita Rao-the sizzling actress’ who is her elder sister. As a beginner, she started her career with an ad for Cadbury Dairy Milk. In the meantime, she kept her busy with photo shoots & small-big commercials.

Her creative head took her to journalism also. She also contributed as a film journalist for Mumbai Mirror Click to look into! >> Read More... & many famous magazines. Not only this, she also reviewed movies. But god has something else written for her. She became Miss Asia & this opened the gates of film industry for her.

Her first break came from Tamil industry where she was casted in romantic film in which she did a very challenging role a Tamil Brahmin girl of 1980s. She even tried her luck in the Telugu film industry, but she had to sizzle the Hindi small screen & then ‘Beintehaa’ happened. For her performance, she bagged Best Debut Actress Award at Zee Gold Awards 2014.

She might be novice to Hindi small screen, but with her skills she is set to rule the small screen in future…!!

Serials & Movies: She worked in 2 South Indian movies namely Chikku Bukku and Priyudu. Right now, she is working in the Hindi TV soap Beintehaa.
