Kamal Sidhu

Born on February 24, 1968, in Canada, Kamal Sidhu, an Indo-Canadian VJ, actor, model and TV anchor was a winner of Miss India Canada in 1991. She was born in Indian Punjabi Sikh family. Her family lived in the Philippines till she was six and later, shifted to Canada. She got her education in Quebec. Kamal got the college degree in pre-medicinal. She speaks fluently in languages like Punjabi, French, English and Tagalog.

She was also an athlete and preparing to contend in Atlanta at the Olympics Games representing Canada in the heptathlon. Her injury finished those fantasies unexpectedly. She did not lose her heart and turned her attention to studies for specializing in human Kinesiology or Kinetics. Amid the 1990s, she was involved with Danny McGill, who was VJ on Channel V and MTV.

Later, she got married to businessman Nico Ghogavala, the owner of B.A.R Company. After Kamal had finished her fourth year, her cousin proposed that they enter the Miss India-Canada event together and win the pageant. These got her many offers for modeling. She decided to come back to her hereditary root India and got recognized by scouts from MTV. She worked on her abilities and began her profession with Channel V and later MTV Asia in India. Kamal also worked in AXN channel in India. She was one of the First Indian VJs, and her Canadian intonation was vert famous with the youngsters, many mirroring her style of hair, talking and dress.

On Zoom TV, Kamal was an anchor for an adult show and on National Geographic Channel she hosted an environmental serial named EarthPulse. She came back to the Television following ten years, and in August 2016, she hosted the Rio Games on channel Star Sports.. Kamal kept on playing VJ with Much Music, the Canadian leading music channel.
