Kartikeya Singh, in his position as a director and producer, is actively involved in the development of new figures in Indian cinema. He is well educated with a unique skill set as he holds a BSc in Mathematics from St. Xavier’s College in Mumbai and also studied Film and Television at Xavier’s Institute of Communication. His entry into motion pictures – and it seems very much his only interest has lots of projects that aim to articulate stories with the surplus that highlights alternate and diverse perspectives. Some of the successful films produced by Kartikeya are Soni (2018), The Fourth Direction (2015), and Mango Jam (2021) among others. His films have succeeded internationally, screening in such sections as Un Certain Regard at the Cannes film festival, and orrizonti at the Venice international film festival, among others.

Kartikeya’s independent film production company the ‘Film Café’ has been quite active in meaningful cinema creation. He was a producer for Annhey Ghorhey Da Daan (2011) which was awarded three National Awards including Best Director and Best Punjabi Film. Another one of his notable works, Chauthi Koot (2015) that also received the Hubert Bals Fund and the Paris Project earned him further solid reputation as a producer who supports original story.
He was also involved in documentaries and television activities. Among his works are fruitful endeavors, such as a documentary on the grim subject of female feticide TriNetra Productions, or working with the Mission for Vision NGO which managed to gather considerable funds for free treatment of eyes. He was a line producer for Aftermath, a short film about the terrorist attacks in Mumbai which was screened at the Cannes Short Film Corner. Kartikeya is also the Managing Director of Interflow Energy, which is engaged in mining and supply of stone aggregate. He is also a National Award winner and has actively promoted new projects, Uljhan (The Knot) is the fifth feature length film in his portfolio but his first one for Route One Productions.
