Nisha Kundnani

Nisha Kundnani is an independent Bollywood fashion stylist based in Mumbai. She completed her education at St. Joseph's Convent School, Jabalpur, and received her baccalaureate degree in political science and economics. Later, she earned her master's degree in journalism and media management from Middlesex University, London.

In 2004, she returned to India and realized that she had an eye for fashion, so she picked it as her beat and devoted three years to fashion journalism at national dailies such as DNA and Hindustan Times. She joined the prestigious DNA Newspaper as a writer for their editorial page. In 2007, she associated herself with Hindustan Times, being their fashion head. Later, she served as the Mumbai bureau chief on the Indian edition of the highly distinguished and reputed French magazine, Marie Claire.

Post this, she pursued an independent career emerging as a successful fashionista with an experience spanning for almost a decade into the fashion and advertising industry. Her rising and prospective talent could be gauged through an insight into her work profile that ranges from editorial writing to production of ad-films, commercial campaigns, and celebrity styling.

She is credited for styling famous Bollywood superstars like Aamir Khan and Anushka Sharma, as well as chess champion Viswanathan Anand, and cricketer Rahul Dravid. The highlights of her progressive career encompass styling Aamir Khan and wife Kiran Rao, for the 61th International Berlin Film Festival, Nandita Das for her appearance at the Cannes Film Festival, 2013, and Anushka Sharma for the Dubai Film Festival, 2011. She has undertaken advertising campaigns for famous brands like McDonald's, Coca-Cola, Airtel, Reliance, Tanishq, Titan, Canon and many others. She carries herself with a unique blend of grace and confidence that enhances her personality.

Her brainchild, Bridélan, is a new venture and styling consultancy harbored with a passion for architecture and expanse that offers a great scope and vitality for styling brides and grooms on their weddings. The USP of Bridélan is ‘elegance’.

She exclaims that weddings are beautiful and one of the most happening events in one's life. Hence, she believes that a methodical approach, attached with magnificence, splendor and grandeur, mold the moment to be a cherished memory forever. She is overwhelmed by spaces that have a sense of history and character with them, and shows major love for them.

She practices what she believes in, which is "simplicity is the ultimate form of sophistication", and proves that in a sea of celebrities trying very hard to stand out, there is still ample virtue in simplicity.
