Samar K Mukherjee

Samar K. Mukherjee is an Indian filmmaker, director and film consultant based in Mumbai, Maharashtra. He studied at C.M Anglo Bengali School in Varanasi, where he won many gold medals for his scientific and technical inventions in National level Science exhibitions. He graduated from The Institute of Electronics and Telecommunication (IETE), New Delhi, with a bachelor’s degree in Engineering. He is the founder of Isha TV Production House, Digifilming Private Limited, and Isha Film and Television Academy (IFTA). He undertakes workshops across India and abroad on acting and modelling, along with video production and direction. He specialises in feature films, documentary films, commercials, media management, corporate branding and post-production works for television and commercial films. He is proficient in languages Bhojpuri, Bengali, Hindi and English. 

He has worked on several films throughout his career as a director, editor, actor, writer and cinematographer, namely Siskiyan- A Shade of Death (1995), Jaroor Kauno Baat Ba (2012), and Anandvan (2015). He has worked on TV series like Fun Antakshari (2003), short films like 10 Minutes (2013), Loha Chor (2023), Godh (2023), Breathless- A Race Against Time (2023), television commercials like Jainam Ornaments (2017), Health Insurance (2019) and even videos like Dil Ko Chura Le (2011), Dating Devil’s Daughter (2017), Junoon (2020). 
Samar K. Mukherjee, also known by his nickname Gopal, has two YouTube channels, one self-titled and another titled Digifilming. He also is an author with two published books, Think Before Saying Action and Zero Budget Filming. In 2022 he won awards like Iconic Brands of Maharashtra and Pillars of Maharashtra.
