Ranjan Rampal is a filmmaker (editor) and poet. He was born in India and currently resides and works in Central Europe. In addition to two years of study in Film Editing at FAMU in Prague, he has a Graduate Diploma in Film and Television (Film Editing) from the Film & Television Institute of India in Pune, Maharashtra. He has edited various short and long narrative fiction and documentary films with poetry, experimental, and music videos during the last twelve years of work.
Before joining the film industry, he completed a bachelor's degree in journalism and mass communication and worked in newspapers, television, and event planning. Now he is part-time teaching at film schools like FAMU, Prague, and various workshops in Europe and India, and has been part of the jury of some film festivals like Koloritfest, Prague. In addition to working on new feature films and lengthy documentaries, he recently edited Ujo Viktor (Uncle Victor), his wife Viktoria Rampal Dzurenko's debut feature film in the languages of Russian, Slovak, and Czech. He has also helmed a few documentaries and short films.
Ranjan Rampal married Viktoria Rampal Dzurenko on the 6th of April in 2013, and he has one child.
