Jabeen Merchant

Jabeen Merchant is a film editor trained in the Film and Television Institute of India. She has edited a range of feature films, including the critically acclaimed ‘Anaarkali of Aarah,’ commercially roaring thrillers like ‘NH10’ and ‘ Manorama Six Feet Under Click to look into! >> Read More... ’; the off-beat comedy ‘The President Is Coming’; and art-house films like ‘ Kadvi Hawa Click to look into! >> Read More... ’ and ‘The Sweet Requiem.’ She is known for co-scripting various internationally celebrated feature-length documentaries with several best filmmakers. Her documentary works have been broadcast in the USA, Japan, and Europe. Aside from editing films, she teaches, consults on scripts, and writes on cinema.

In 2014, she was awarded the Best Editor for the documentary at the celebrated Mumbai International pageant. Jabeen has been a journalist and also teaches editing. She’s been an extremely loved editor for over twenty-four years. Jabeen went to FTII, Pune, and graduated in 1995.
