Chetan Shashital is an Indian voice-over artist and a singer. He is considered one of the top dubbing artists in the film and television industry. From TV commercials to being the voice of actors Bollywood movies, Chetan has done it all. He took birth in Mumbai, Maharashtra in the year 1968. For 35 years Chetan is active in the industry, and he has mastered the art of dubbing. He took birth in Mumbai, Maharashtra in the year 1968 in a middle-class family. His father worked as a Life Insurance Corporation (LIC) agent, and his mother worked at the Brihan Mumbai Municipal Corporation (BM).

His parents were good mimics at home and imitated voices, so Chetan considers his talent as inherited. As a child he enacted school teachers and friends; in an inter-class event at school, he even won the prize for mimicry. After schooling, he went to the Father Angel’s College of Engineering in Mumbai; he pursued an engineering degree there. Chetan participated in many competitions during his college life. To Chetan’s luck, his friend recommended his name to the makers. At just eighteen years of age, Chetan dubbed the voice of a seventy-year-old actor.

Later he went on to dub eight films of Pinchoo Kapoor and three of Sunny Deol’s movies. Chetan also took up computer design course and further worked for Virat Co. He taught AutoCAD software to clients. In 1989, he left his job and performed on-stage with the duo Kalyanji-Anandji. Later, Chetan became the voice for a TV ad by Advertising Avenues under the name the Muppets. He also spoke in 22 voices at CAG awards, and the act became a big hit.
