Dj Megha Kawale

Megha Kawale is the woman who broke the stereotype that Disc Jockeying is meant only for boys. She is India’s first female Disc Jockey. She is better known as the unbeatable and undisputed Queen of the console. She initiated the movement of female Disc Jockeying in India. Megha is bold and independent since childhood. She has an eternal love for music. Therefore, at the age of fifteen she decided to entertain the crowd and set the dance floor on fire. Hence, she became a disc jockey. She is full of life and mostly selects energetic tracks to play in discos and clubs.    

Her journey began when her age was just seventeen. She became a resident DJ at the discotheque of The Taj Mahal Hotel in Mumbai and worked there for six years. It was 1900's discotheque but was regarded as the most happening place in Mumbai. The ambiance created there could not be compared with any other place. From around the globe, people come to visit the club and Megha was the attention grabber there. She could make people forget all their worries and just sway to her music.  Her style is so unique that many DJ’s tried to imitate it but couldn’t.

After leaving The Taj Hotel, she joined the biggest warehouse club in India named Mikanos. There she made around more than 2000 clubbers dance and swayed to her tunes. People loved and adored her charismatic personality. In the year 2001, she was the finalist as well as the winner of the pageant Femina Miss India 2001. She was titled “Ms. Talented” by the judges. The title accelerated her Jockeying career, and she got established as the supermodel of the country. She soon became the style icon of the Nation, and people started following her. 

Megha is a traveller as well. She is the only one to play in the most happening places like Pacha in Spain, Pratham Charity Ball in London, Basel Art and Basel World in Switzerland, and Superclubs in Dubai, Bangkok, Istanbul, Chicago, San Francisco, Bombay, New Delhi, and Hong Kong, etc. Just not this, she has played in Switzerland at the World Economic Forum in Davos. She played there in the years 2010, 2011, and 2012. In India, she showed her swag in Goa at the India Resort Fashion Week in the year 2012. That event became the most memorable Music Festival.  She is the brand ambassador of many famous brands. She remixed the No.1 remix “Munni” of 2010. These are just a few achievements; she has a lot more to achieve.
