Terrie Samundra is a Producer, a Writer, and a Director. She was born in Missouri and brought up in California. She is the daughter of the Punjabi author and poet Shashi Samundra. She has an MFA in Film Production, Directing, and Screenwriting from San Francisco State University. She is the Screenwriter of the Netflix Original film Kaali Khuli which has been released in 2020. Other films she has done are Push On, Full Grown Men, and Kunjo which won a National Geographic Grant and a Princess Grace Award. She also directs music videos and commercial campaigns. Samundra is an alumna of Ryan Murphy Half Initiative and an alumna of Sundance Institute Screenwriters Lab. She is also the Director of Brother Bear Sister Wolf and is a professor at the American Film Institute for students studying screenwriting. Terry is a member of the Writers Guild of America as well.
