Vivek Kajaria

Vivek Kajaria is an Indian entrepreneur and producer, who is known for his work in the Hindi film industry. He has created several award-winning movies in different languages throughout his career. Vivek grew up in the city of Mumbai, the heart of Indian cinema. After he graduated with an MBA degree, he moved to the United Kingdom to pursue a Master’s degree in Computer Science at Warwick University. His managerial skills paid off when he joined his family-owned construction business after his education abroad. He began developing a passion for cinema and media, engaging his creative side through several short films.

Vivek founded his film group, ‘Holy Basil Productions,’ with the goal of providing a unique cinematic platform for Indian visual media. The studio collaborated with the ‘Navalakha Arts’ company to direct and produce several motion pictures that made a great impact on creative media. It also received an honorary Dada Saheb Phalke Award mention for its visual artistry. He went on to work on films like ‘Anumati (2013)’ and ‘Raakshas (2018).’

His movie ‘ Shala Shala is a part of a Marathi serial named Soanpaul >> Read More... ’ was the winner of the National Award for Best Film, and he received numerous national and international accolades for the film, ‘Fandry.’ Besides the majority of his work, which is in the Marathi language, he has also produced the Kannada film, Raju, and has worked on many projects in Hindi. He has been an integral member of the Mumbai Film Festival, which hosts and curates hundreds of films every year.
