Tamal Sen is an Indiana filmmaker and also known as a Producer. He lives in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. Active on Twitter, Facebook, etc. He speaks many languages Bengali, Hindi, English, etc.
In 2003, he studied Computer Science (B.SC) at M. S. Ramallah College of Art Science and Commerce, and then a post-graduate of the Satyajit Ray Film and Television Institute in 2005. Mainly, Tamal comes from years of experience in the Bollywood industry. Since 2011 he has been working within the advertising industry in Mumbai. At a similar time, he worked on his first feature-length screenplay. The script “The gift,” got chosen for the NFDC Screenwriters Lab (National Film Development Corporation of India an initiative to encourage high-quality Indian cinema). The NFDC has been known for mentoring scripts that have stood out, Lunchbox, Court, Lipstick Under My Burkha, and “ Dum Laga Ke Haisha Click to look into! >> Read More... ” being the most notable ones of the last few years.
Moreover, he won International Prizes with his graduation film Still Voices. Mainly, he’s one of six scripts selected in 2016 received mentorship under Lab Head Antoine Le Bos, Urmi Jurvekar & Romain Compingt. The lab mentorship, made in partnership with the Sarajevo International Film Festival. In 2017, he was selected for the NFDC Film Bazaar Co-Production Market. Plus, his first short film in Bengali, “Dui Shalik” that released recently on YouTube. This movie is gaining attention on social media platforms and earning appreciation from the audience. Also, he loves to read books.
Tamal is the screenplay writer for the first season of Zee5's debut Bengali web series “ Kaali Click to look into! >> Read More... ” (2018). Also, the co-writer of an upcoming Netflix series produced by Anushka Sharma Born in an army family to Col. AjayKumar and Ashim >> Read More... productions.
