Sanjeev Rattan is a renowned film director who has worked predominantly for Hindi movies and shows. He belongs to a small village Khanyara in Kangra District of Himachal Pradesh. Sanjeev Rattan completed his schooling from the government school in Dharmshala and later pursued an M.A. in Theater and Arts from Punjab University. During his stay in Chandigarh, he did more than 20 plays in 20 theater workshops around Chandigarh. He portrays Himachali folklore on big screen has dreams to let Himachali cinema flourish. He received the Rajat Kamal award for his Pahari film called ‘Dile Ch Baseya Koi.’ It was also acknowledged by the National award Jury and was awarded as Best Dogri Film. Another one of his debut movie as an independent director and producer was for the movie Panchakki, which also recieved a National Award in 2011 for the Best Short Fiction Film.
