Jayabrato Chatterjee

Jayabroto Chatterjee is a well-known personality figure who is based in Kolkata. He is known not only for being a film director but also for being a novelist and literary figure. He has worked mainly in Hindi but has worked in Bengali as well. Apart from being a director, he has also worked as Screenplay. His last feature film was released in the year 2008. So far, Chatterjee has written four books under his name: Last Train to Innocence (1995), Beyond All Heavens (2003), Kolkata: The Dream City (2004), and A Soft Eclipse (2014). His debut novel Last Train to Innocence, a work of fiction, immediately established him as a writer. It won the international award Hawthornden Fellowship. A Soft Eclipse gained the title of the best seller. Apart from being a novelist, Chatterjee also works as managing editor of Pot Purri magazine. Jayabrato Chatterjee also has a recipe book for Bengali foods called “Cooking up Culinary Adventures.”
