Ruchir Arun

Ruchir Arun is a two-time national award-winning director, writer, and an Assistant Director.

He was born in Kolkata. For his studies, Ruchir went to St. Xavier's College, Kolkata. He is a professional in the field of direction as he studied Film Making at Film and Television Institute of India.

Ruchir is known for the direction of the movie, Mandrake! Mandrake!, which premiered in 2013. The genre of the movie was Short, Drama, Family, and Fantasy. The movie won the award in the category of Best short fiction film. 

He is also known for his first assistant director in the movie, Island City (2015). Before directing a movie or a short film, he wanted to do justice by expressing the right emotion in the right scenario. In 2015-16, Ruchir met Pocket Aces, which is an animated channel.

On their first meet, a connection between them was formed, and they immediately wanted to work together, this led to the making of the first season of the web series What the folks, in the year 2017. It was about a modern family breaking old taboos and stereotypes.

The second season of Little Things, a web series available on Netflix, was directed by Ruchir Arun. The genre of the series is Comedy and romance. The plot of the show is about a modern couple with modern problems and modern solutions.

Ruchir's youtube handle, also have some of his cleanest works of film making. By Small town crooks in the year 2014, He made the debut in the Youtube industry.

Ruchir Arun’s life was full of ups and downs. He shared his life mantra, which stated that usually small things often have big consequences. Even though Ruchir Arun is a national award winner, he has always put up with people kindly and has respected everyone irrespective of their job status.
