Brinda Mitra is a filmmaker who hails from Delhi. She started acting at the early age of 8 for her father's theatre group in Delhi. She was elected as the President of the Film Club at her alma mater Delhi University and won several awards as an actor while she was still a student. Later, she studied filmmaking at Whistling Woods International in Mumbai and specialized in Film editing. She has worked as an Assistant and Associate Director in ad films mostly. She has also worked with major studios like Yashraj Films, Roy Kapur Films, and Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment in different capacities.
As second unit/assistant director, she has worked in movies such as Mardaani (2014) and Meri Pyaari Bindu (2017). She has also worked in short films, see Aloneliness (2011), Pradosh (2013), and Awakenings (2015). Brinda's directorial and writing debut 'Stories on The Next Page' was released on Disney+ Hotstar in May 2022.
