Rehana Mirza is a talented Hindi director. She has made films and plays that explore the lives and struggles of South Asians in America. She was born on 14 July 1978 in  Bridgewater, New Jersey, USA. She pursued a degree in Dramatic Writing from New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts. She has written and directed several films, such as Fillum Star: The Peter Patel Story, Quarter Life Crisis, and Hiding Divya. She has also created and staged plays, such as Barriers (2002). She is known for her realistic style of storytelling, and ability to blend humor and drama. She has received many awards and recognition for her work. Rehana is a recipient of the New York Foundation for the Arts Fellowship in Playwriting.Â
