Prashant Sehgal

Prashant Sehgal is an Indian director, producer, scriptwriter, filmmaker, video editor, creative & casting director, cinematographer, and DOP. He has been a founder & director of PS Pro in Noida, India since Dec 2008. He initiated many entrepreneurial ventures & involved in multiple freelance activities in numerous fields. He opened an Italian Café & Restaurant named I’lario and ran operations successfully for almost two years. He designed & managed IT Infrastructure for Cobb Apparel's headquarters and over a hundred retail stores. He has been part of fifteen feature films and over eighty shorts, ads, and documentaries. He also holds a Guinness World Record in the field. 

Prashant Sehgal finished his school education at Delhi Public School, Noida, in 1993. He took a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) degree in Computers at Savitribai Phule, Pune University (1993 – 1997). Later, he did a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in IT at Carnegie Mellon University – Tepper School of Business (2005 – 2007). In 2008, he studied filmmaking at the New York University. There he received Six Sigma Green Belt Certification. He married Priyanka Sehgal on February 22, 2002, with whom he has two children.

Prashant Sehgal worked as a systems at Aithent in New Delhi for a year (Jul 1997 – Jun 1998). He developed software solutions for US-based healthcare clients, including Kaiser Permanente & University of California. As a programmer analyst (Database Administration), he worked at Goldman Sachs in New York for over five years (Oct 1999 – Nov 2004). He designed & maintained backend database support for critical financial applications across multiple business units. He participated in Goldman Sachs' mentoring & hiring programs for summer interns. He then worked as a Technical Analyst (Database Administration) at Goldman Sachs for nine months (Dec 2004 – Aug 2005).

He was promoted to an advisory role assisting peers with advanced technical issues, and continuing with existing Team Lead duties. The following year, Prashant Sehgal was a project manager intern (iTunes Music Store) at Apple in Cupertino, CA, USA for four months (May 2006 – Aug 2006). He was responsible for driving projects of a complex nature within high business and customer impact areas of the online store. From July 2007 to Nov 2008, he was a program manager (Premiere Elements & Online Sharing) at Adobe Systems India in Noida.

Prashant Sehgal is a creative and innovative IT professional with nine years of corporate experience and thirteen years of non-traditional experience. As the cinematographer, he shot the International feature movie “Hola Venky!.” As the director, cinematographer, and editor, he then made the comedy-drama feature movie titled "Diary of an Overly Reactive Middle-Aged Teenager."
