Prashant Issar

Prashant Issar, also known as "Sippi," is the founder, owner, and director of Tubelight Films. Prashant joined an ad film production company in 1994 because he enjoyed telling short stories and wanted to meet creative people. He did not grow up dreaming of becoming a filmmaker, but he did try his hand at a marketing job and a stint in the merchant navy before realizing that telling stories through film was his true calling. He decided to see the other side of ad filmmaking, i.e., the "Agency" end of the business, after sweating it out for four and a half years doing production and post-production there. In 1998, he joined Saatchi & Saatchi as an agency producer and quickly rose to the top of Saatchi's Films department. As Films Chief at "Saatchi," he had the opportunity to work with some of the top names in the ad film business in India and abroad, filling the next four years with priceless experience learning from the best directors the industry had to offer.

He not only commissioned work to directors, but he also began directing commercials in-house for the agency. After a few of his commercials got recognized at the prestigious AAAI awards in Mumbai, he decided to launch his own production company, "PI films," in 2002. Prashant worked at Corcoise for eight years, directing over 180 commercials for leading brands in India and clients in LA, Italy, and Dubai. He has won many ad club awards in India for his work. He has also been a finalist in many international festivals, including the New York Festival, the London Film Festival, and the Asia ad Fest. Prashant founded Tubelight Films in 2011 after 16 years in the industry, over 200 commercials under his belt, and many of brands to choose from. He is now widely regarded as one of the best in the industry, making Tubelight Films a highly sought-after production company.
