Prafull Gade

At Stereo D in Pune, India, Prafull Gade is the Managing Director and Vice President of International Production. He is in charge of the Pune facility's operations, including Production, Sales & Marketing, Administration, H.R., Finance, and the Production Technology Department. Prafull joined Stereo D in 2011 and has since guided the Pune studio to become India's largest producer of digital 3D for cinema. Prafull has over 28 years of expertise in the Indian animation and visual effects industry. Before joining Stereo D, he worked for Escotoonz Entertainment as C.O.O. and Reliance's Big Animation as Vice-President, 3D Operations. Praful's creative work covers classical 2D-to-CGI 3D, large-screen motion pictures, small-screen ad/corporate films, and multimedia-to-internet. He holds a Fine Arts degree from Nagpur University. His credits are over 1000 commercials, VFX for over 40 motion pictures, 26 2D/3D animated series, television features, and several corporate films and multimedia products.

Prafull Gade has 37 years of professional expertise in the Indian Animation Industry, creative temperament, and production skills. A Nagpur University Fine Arts graduate, Prafull moved from cartoon strips to comic books, from classical 2D to CGI 3D, from large-screen motion movies to small-screen commercials and corporate films, and from multimedia to the internet.

He is currently the Director Of Operations of DigiCaption India Pvt. Ltd, a subsidiary of MacAnderws & Forbes Holding Inc. and a Deluxe Digital Studio Group Inc. affiliate. He began his career as an animator at R.A.A.M. (Hyderabad) in 1985 and was fortunate enough to contribute to the feature film "Chota Hanuman." During his time at Motion Graphics Pvt. Ltd. (Chennai), where he directed a 26-episode T.V. series centered on Indian cricket hero "Sunil Gavaskar," his creative decisions began to take shape. He also came up with the idea and designed 56 different subjects for the "FUN&LEARN" series of flipbooks. Prasad Studios was where he began his technology education in 1989.
