Manish Jha was born in 3rd May, 1978 at West Champaran, Bihar. Manish was talented from his childhood. He is a famous Director and Screenwriter. The stories that are written by him work like a blessing for him. His all stories are super hit. Manish is best known for his first movie, "A Very Very Silent Film” and “Matrubhoomi - A Nation without Women”. He also won awards for these movies. When we move into his family background, Manish basically grew up in Delhi. He completed his graduation in English from Ramjas College, Delhi University.
Manish was very good in study as well as he also did Theatre in the university. Manish Jha went to Mumbai ASO called as the Big City of Dreams, where he started his career. In Mumbai his life was full of struggle. He didn't get break by any director yet. Then he started with his first documentary of only five minutes named "A Very Very Silent Film" in 2001. After that Manish made debut in acting in "Matrubhoomi". This movie based on the Female Infanticide. After this, his next one was "Anwar" in 2007. This movie shoot in the Lucknow. This movie based on the stereotyping of Muslims in the past 9/11 era. Manish made many famous movies, clips in his career. He also made the two-hour Yoga of the actress Shilpa Shetty in the gorgeous background of the Kerala.

He also won FIPRESCI Award for his movie "Matrubhoomi" in the Venice Film Festival. He was also nominated for Getting Alexander at the Thessaloniki Film Festival, in 2003. Manish Jha also participated in Venice film festival in 2003. Manish also nominated for the Film "River To River" at Florence Indian Film Festival in 2003. Manish was also famous for the directing of the segment title "Mumbai Cutting". It was awarded as Osian's Cinefan Festival that was organized in Delhi.
