Hindi Director Krishna Shah

Krishna Shah was an Indian director. He was a well-known director, producer, and screenplay writer. He was born and brought in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India on 10th May 1938. He passed away at the age of 75 on 13th October 2013. He was a great filmmaker and a distribution executive. He is well known and will always be remembered for his work in the industry. His best works are The River Niger, Rivals, Shalimar, and Hard Rock Zombies.

He was the first person ever in Bollywood who made it to Hollywood. He began his career through International stage plays. He also did screenplay work on the US Television. He directed movies such as Hard Rock Zombies and Ted & Venus. He was the executive producer of the film, Double Helix Banner.

In 1973, he directed Vignettes in two episodes of the Paramount Television series Love and American Style. He also worked for the Universal Television in 1974, and also directed an episode in the series The Six Dollar Man. The episode was aired on the 24th March, in 1974, with the episode named as Dr. Wells is missing.

In 1972, he decided to produce a film all on his own. He did the movie Rivals with the help of his brother in law. Shalimar, known to be the most expensive movie ever made in India, shah in 1978, employed many international stars. After that nobody hired so many international stars to form a collaboration of Bollywood and Hollywood ever in history. Other movies he is known for are Our Gang which released in 1966, an episode for The Man From U.N.C.L.E. which was aired on television in 1966, an episode of The Flying Nun which was aired on television in 1968, Movie Rivals, an episode of the television series Ironside released in 1974, Evil Laugh released in 1986, Omega Cop released in 1990, Ramayana: The Legend Of Prince Rama released in 1992, Night Caller released in 1992, and a reality show Dance India Dance (Doubles) which was aired in 2011, etc. He has done many other important projects.
