Kavita Carneiro is a young passionate independent filmmaker from the Bollywood industry. She is eager to motivate the world! She makes short films for NGOs and Corporates. Kavita has been directing films for social development organizations. Zaffar & Tudu is her debut documentary. The young lady from Pune was looking for an idea where sport created an impact. Cinema happened to her when she pursued a course in Social Communications Media at Sophia Polytechnic, Mumbai. After that, she landed a position at Bharat Bala Productions as an Assistant Director. She worked for four years in the creative conceptualization and production of commercials, music videos, and feature films.

One of the biggest challenges of her professional life has been to fulfill her role as Chief Assistant to Bharatbala as the Creative Director for the Opening protocol of the Commonwealth Games, Delhi 2010. It was in June 2011 that she ventured out on her own to pursue her debut documentary film ‘ Maidaan Click to look into! >> Read More... .’ She loves to shoot her movies and prefers to work with a small intimate crew. Photography is her passion, which she indulges in often during her travels across rural India. While researching her venture, she met a boy named Tudu from The Santhal tribal in West Bengal. Then she met another guy named Zaffar, an Afghan-born Indian from Kolkata. The boys love to play Rugby, the super game. The film tells the boy’s story of how they embark on parallel journeys to their native lands with the hope of finding answers through Rugby.

The Film’s shooting started in 2011 with a feature length of an hour, and the shooting came to the final stage in 2013. The post-production was done, and the movie was released in 2016. The movie’s motto was to show that” Identity should belong.” The theme of Identity and Belonging is about the children developing a positive attitude toward who they are and how it feels when they are valued and respected as part of a family and community; she excelled in portraying that in her movie.
