Ishraq Shah is a Bollywood director. Not only did he direct the films but also wrote the stories of films. He is a very good professional writer of stories. As an assistant, he worked under Gulzar Saab. While he worked and learned under Gulzar Saab he took a break from the industry. He learned the writing and reading of Urdu from Gulzar Saab, and this language made him fall in love with it. Ishraq Shah with Gulzar Saab made a Documentary on 50 years of Sahitya Akademi and Tehreer Munshi Premchand Ki, these projects were a magnum opus for National television Doordarshan.
