Hashim Azmi is a well-established entrepreneur and filmmaker, who is best known for directing and producing short films and documentaries. Born as Shaikh Mohammed Hashim Azmi on June 22, 1997, in Azamgarh, Uttar Pradesh, he moved to Mumbai in the year 2000 and spent his childhood in Mumbai. Hashim’s father, Ashfaque Azmi, is a businessman and Hashim has an elder brother, Kashif Azmi. In 2013, Hashim moved to Nashik and completed his higher secondary education. Hashim went to Anglo Urdu High School and later attended SND College of Engineering and Research Center.
In 2015, Hashim Azim pursued Kazakh Language and Literature course from Jamia Millia Islamia University, New Delhi. He then went on to study Russian Language and Literature from Aligarh Muslim University. He was part of the University debating and literary club and a member at the university film club. During his stay in Aligarh Muslim University, Hashim Azmi made heads turn by creating the first-ever news portal and online video streaming platform in the university journal platform. He also made several other reforms for Aligarh Muslim University Journal. In 2016, Hashim Azmi wrote, directed, and acted in the AMU Journal television miniseries.
Further, Hashim collaborated with many start-ups and developed web portals across India. For the incredible things he has done for Aligarh Muslim University, they listed Hashim Azmi as one of the notable alumni of the university on the google page. In 2014, Hashim Azmi founded a media advertising Production Company called Yuva Media Group Productions and had been producing various short films and documentaries under the company. As an actor, he debuted in the Hindi film industry with the movie Chhichhore in 2019. He is also a part of the sports drama Toofan.
