Farha Alam is a multimedia artist, graphic designer, and arts consultant. She received a Masters’s Degree in Mass Communication from AJKMCRC, Jamia Milia Islamia University (2012), and Bachelor’s in Philosophy from Hindu College, Delhi University (2010). Her work combines stop-motion animation, graphics, video, objects, typography, printed artwork, and archival prints. She carries an experience of over 12 years with collaborators like RPG Art Foundation, The Rugs Story, Bom Bucha, Toon Club, DaVinci Media GmBh Germany, You Art, Films Division, NFDC, Culture Machine, Dialogues Film Festival Calcutta, and many more.
Some of the feature films done by her were displayed at Hot Docs Canada, River to River Italy, and Etno Rovinj Croatia. She has been an International Animation and visual arts teacher for students in North America, Japan, the UK, and the Middle East through DIY.org, Toon Club Mumbai, and an animation course designer for XQ entertainment. She directed and produced Season 1 of One Stop Science Shop, a 26-episode kid’s television series by DaVinci Media GmBh, Germany, based on learning through experimentation.
She also directed a short film named Last Cup of Tea in 2018, showcased at the River-to-River Film Festival in Italy. Some of her famous works are The Superstars of Koti, which portrays the lives of three teenage boys in a mountain village in India, The Bizarre Murder of Mr. Tusker, and Not Born Heroes (2010).
