Abhas Shrivastava is an Indian director, actor, and model. He was born on September 16, 1989, in Madhya Pradesh, India. After completing school education, he went to the Punjab Technical University, Jalandhar, to pursue a Bachelor of Science in Mass Communication, Advertisement & Journalism (B.Sc. MCAJ) from 2008 to 2011. In 2012, he studied fundamentals of video editing, multi-camera shooting, show production, and online editing at the Film and Television Institute of India (FTII) in Pune, Maharashtra.
The following year, he went to the Asian School of Media Studies (ASMS), to pursue a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Cinema and a Post Graduate Diploma in Cinema (Specialization in Post Production). He studied cinema on various fronts, including acting & presentation, screenwriting, film studies, producing & directing films, video editing & sound recording, producing & directing TV programs, and many more.
In 2010, Abhas Shrivastava was intern at Dainik Bhaskar Group in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh. As a freelancer, he did cinematography, screenplay, and direction & editing for the horror short film “Revenge.” The film is shot from an iPhone4. The film has been awarded second Best Film at the “Seventh International Film Festival of CELL PHONE CINEMA.” As an editor, he worked at the Asian School of Media Studies (AAFT) in Noida, Uttar Pradesh. He worked in short films (Opportunity, Hero, and Blackmale) and Electronic News Gathering (E.N.G.) based on Delhi and Miseries of Slums Area. He also worked in Electronic News Gathering based on the General Delhi Election 2015 and the view of society over homosexuality and Article 377.
In 2017, Abhas Shrivastava worked as an editor & creative director for the music single “Aayat Bane Hum,” sung by Jonita Ghandhi and produced by Fly Sky Studios. He also worked for ALT Balaji stand-up comedy show (Telugu) produced by Sapna Motion Pictures and Telefilms Pvt. Ltd. He worked on two music videos such as “Mandhira Kannilae” (Tamil) and “Nee Venakale Nadichi” (Telugu) on TrendMusic in 2018. The same year, he worked in the poetry show “Bikhare Hain Alfaaz” and the comedy web series “Chhoriyan,” produced by Corner Seat Entertainment (A Sapna Group).
As a Director of Post Production (D.O.P), Abhas Shrivastava worked on the Telugu music video “Shots of Tequila” at Lahari Music T-Series in Carpe Diem, Hyderabad. He worked as an editor at Wings On Concepts for nine months. He has been working as a director at Sapana Motion Pictures and Telefilms Pvt. Ltd. in Gwalior since October 2015. He was also awarded with Certification of Excellence for his work in two short films “Charity Begins at Home” and “Once Upon A Time in School.” He is facilitated as a “Youth Ambassador of Peace” by the World Peace Development & Research Foundation.
