Dharampal Thakur

Dharampal Thakur is a director who works in the TV serial industry. He directs fiction and non-fiction TV serials. Dharampal always had an eye in the entertainment industry since his childhood as he often took part in plays and skits. He started his career as a theatre artist. He would often act and direct plays. During his college days he took the theatre acting very seriously as in an interview he said that in those times he would often work many jobs in the theatre plays, eh would direct,

design costumes, work backstage and along with that act. He raked in a few awards which only boosted his confidence and made him see that acting and directing are very serious and they can be a good career option. He got his career in the TV started as an actor, he acted in various TV serials where he played supporting actor, and would often had to assist the director on set. Consequently, this led to him being an assistant director on other shows. He learned the art of directing on the job, as day by day he would learn something new and later put to use.

Working as an assistant director initially, he would often help the actors on the set in making them understand the scene, learn the dialogues and many other creative queries. His first job as a director came on the hugely successful Comedy Circus ke Superstars in 2010. He directed 22 episodes on the show including the grand finale. But, his major break came in 2017 with another hit TV serial Adat Se Majboor. It is a series broadcasted on Sab TV, the series was created and directed both by Dharampal. The show aired 107 episodes and Dharampal was a producer and director on all of them.
