Chandra Pemmaraju

Chandra Pemmaraju is a film writer and director of Indian descent. Pemmaraju's enthusiasm for the arts has manifested itself over the years in the form of short plays that he authored and directed while in India. He took the jump in 2008, switching from a financial services career to filmmaking because he is a film aficionado with a strong ambition to pursue filmmaking as a means to create and convey art. Since then, he produced short films and independent films that have won awards at international film festivals in the United States and India.

He wrote, produced, and directed the films ‘May Beetle’ and Kissing Miss Jones, as well as working in the screenwriting department and production management for the critically acclaimed film ‘Life Action on the camera’. This movie has received various accolades and critical acclaim. In addition, he was asked to curate a Bollywood Night at the New York Filmmakers Festival.

Love Lies and Seeta, his first feature film, was released in India and the United States after screening at several international film festivals.
