Born in the City of Joy Kolkata, Sritama Datta has been interested in the creativity of cinema and the wonders of Bollywood since childhood. Growing up with an ardour for writing, she commenced her journalistic career, and she quickly discovered her passion for screenplay writing. She has been in the movie industry for over 15 years and has a lot of experience in screenwriting and directing  in lots of genres which include shorts, branded films, characteristic films, net series, advertisements and daily soaps. Sritama has the skills to portray even the most complicated ideas as lovely and cinematic by the means of writing, excellent velocity, and finesse.
Her short film ‘Midnight Error’ was nominated for the Filmfare Short Film Award 2020 under the best screenplay category. She was also nominated for the Digital Hash Award (January 2018) for her directorial debut for the film ‘Shatika The Undraped.’ She has an immensely bold filmmaking style and has made her mark in both Hindi and Bengali film industries. She wears a innovative producer`s hat due to the fact she is a part of a famous organization. She is a great example of a generation of young filmmaker bringing variety and creativity to the plate.
