Dinesh Karthik is a renowned Indian wicketkeeper - batsman. He made his debut in 2004 as a batsman. He is a born Tamilian and started paying cricket at a minor age of 10. He has studied in Indian Public School. His father too was a cricketer who had played first- division matches. His father taught him cricket and had thrown him hard leather bowls at fast speed and had trained him quite hard. In 1999, he made his Under-14 debut for Tamil Nadu. Outside cricket, he has participated in a dance reality show, Ek Khilaadi Ek Haseena with partner Nigaar Khan.
This marked his debut on television. Although, they couldn't win the show. He is regular Indian cricket player and was seen in IPL playing for Royal Challenger's Bangalore. He has played for five different teams in his IPL career. He is married to squash player Dipika Pallikal after divorcing his childhood friend Nikitha in 2012.
