Aakash Gupta

Aakash Gupta is an Indian professional stand-up comedian, YouTuber, and theatre actor. He was born on Tuesday, January 5, 1993. His hometown is New Delhi, India. He completed his secondary education at Sumermal Jain Public School, New Delhi. Later, he pursued his Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) degree at Shaheed Bhagat Singh College, University of Delhi. His hobbies are acting, writing, helping, stage performance, swimming, and trekking. Also, he has had an interest in theatre since his college days. He also performed a play based on ‘Shaheed Bhagat Singh.’ He married Nitika Seth on October 17, 2021.

In 2013, he worked as an auditor in KPMG Gurgaon, Haryana, for almost a year. Later, he moved into professional theatre, alongside his job as an auditor. He began his career with theatre and improvisational. Improvisation, commonly referred to as ‘improv,’ is a comedy genre in which the act performed is unscripted or unplanned. Also, he was part of ‘Kaivalya Plays,’ a spontaneous improvisation comedy group. Aakash Gupta created a YouTube channel and began to upload comedy sketches. He uploaded his first comedy sketch named ‘Manhoos Man’ on April 27, 2017. After that, he uploaded several other comedy sketch videos, including Drunk Beta, Shared Cab, Career Looters, and many. After working with an improv community group, he began visiting open mics. He began giving short performances before stepping into stand-up comedy. Stand-up comedy was a whole new world to him. But then he started enjoying doing it. He got into the limelight with his debut stand-up comedy video, which he uploaded on his channel, “Train Journey & Honeymoon Trips,” on June 11, 2017.

He used to upload various stand-up comedy videos such as relationships, clubbing & cocktails, Delhi metro, etc. He was the recipient of the YouTube Silver Play Button on September 11, 2018. He also received his YouTube Gold Play Button on July 22, 2020. On July 12, 2019, he marked his television debut in an Indian stand-up comedy competition television series “Comicstaan Season 2,” streamed on Amazon Prime. He was the co-winner of the show.
