Ayananka Bose

Ayananka Bose is an Indian cinematographer who works in Hindi movies and television commercials. He was born on 23rd January in Meerut in Uttar Pradesh. He is famous for his work in Kaabil, Force and Kites. Ayananka is the son of Arun Bose who was the chief sound recorder at the Prasad Film Laboratories in Chennai. Bose did a cinematography lesson in the Film and Television Institute of Tamil Nadu in Chennai. Tamil ace cinematographer and director Rajiv Menon trained him in cinematography. Menon took Bose as an assistant director in the Tamil movie Kandukondain Kandukondain in 2010. Bose then worked as an assistant director to cinematographer Ravi K. Chandran in movies like Dil Chahta Hain in 2001, Kannathil Munnamittal in 2002, Koi Mil Gaya in 2003, Boys in 2003 and others. He became the first assistant cameraman in Lakshya in 2004, camera operator in Black in 2005 and associate cinematographer in Paheli in 2005 before becoming independent. Bose made his debut as the director of photography with the Bollywood film Main Aisa Hi Hoon which released on 6th May 2005. Since then Bose has cinematographed movies like Teesri Aankh: Hidden Camera in 2006, Umrao Jaan in 2006, Jhoom Barabar Jhoom in 2007, Tashan in 2008, Dostana in 2008, Kites in 2010, I Hate Luv Stories in 2010, Force in 2011, Student Of The Year in 2012, Once Upon A Time In Mumbai Dobara in 2013, Kick in 2014 and Dishoom in 2016. His latest works are Bollywood blockbuster Kaabil in 2017 and Telugu movie Duvvada Jagannadham in 2017. He also received special credits for Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani in 2013. Bose received the Zee Cine Award under the Best Cinematographer category in 2011 for the film Kites. He was also nominated for a Filmfare Award under the Best Cinematographer category in 2009 for the film Dostana and a Star Guild Award under the Best Cinematographer category for the film Kites in 2011. Bose has also cinematographed television commercials. Some of his works include Nokia Lumia Kiss, Tata Nano Gold Plus, Volkswagon Vento Auto Transmission, Samsung Hero, Cadbury Silk Bubbles, Domino’s – By Your Side, Jos Alukkas – Friends, Kurl – On Matress and several others. Bose also cinematographed music videos Salaam for Umrao Jaan, Vele for Student Of The Year, Kites for Kites, Mujhko Pehchanlo for Don 2, Bin Tere for I Hate Luv Stories, Teri Meri for Bodyguard and Wake Up Sid for Wake Up Sid.


Nikhil Idurkar

Nikhil Idurkar is a Hindi Cinematographer. Nikhil was born and brought up in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. He is currently residing in Mumbai. Nikhil did his schooling from Ram Mohan English School from 1985-1987 and St. Francis D’Assisi School in Borivali from 1987-1998. He went for higher studies in Sir J.J. Institute of Applied Arts in 2004, pursuing Photography and Whistling Wood International Film School in 2007 for pursuing Cinematography. Nikhil was always fond of photography. It was his dream to join this field. He is doing well in this field and has done some remarkable work. Nikhil can speak English, Hindi, Marathi, and Konkani. He got engaged in 2013 and married on 2nd May 2014. First, Nikhil used to work as a photographer, but later he joined other companies and worked in many movies, short films, and documentaries. Nikhil used to work as a cinematographer at The Undercover Ganesha Productions. Nikhil has worked in films, TV shows, documentaries, music videos and short films. Nikhil is known for his work in the movie Taxi No. 9211: Nau Do Gyara. This movie was directed by Milan Luthra and the lead male actors are John Abraham and Nana Patekar. The lead female actors in the movie are Sameera Reddy and Sonali Kulkarni. This film revolves around a cabbie and a businessman who are in need of money. They are introduced by a taxi ride and had no idea about what is coming ahead in future. The film can be said as an adventurous taxi ride. Nikhil was the in charge of the camera and electrical department in the movie Taxi No. 9211: Nau Do Gyarah and Anwar, directed by Manish Jha, starring Nauheed Cyrusi, Rajpal Yadav, Siddharth Koirala and Manisha Koirala.
