Meena Singh is a famous Los Angeles-based Indian cinematographer mainly known for English Tv series and movies. She was born on 15 September 1980 in Chicago, Illinois, USA and joined Columbia College, Chicago, in 1998, for a Bachelor of Arts in Film and Cinematographer. In 2009, she completed her Master's in Fine Arts and cinematography from The American Film Institute. From 2001 to 2006, she worked as the Director of Photography at BoldSoul Films for two years and at Dalia Productions for a year. Meena also worked at Motion Pictures Services in Chicago as Rental Manager and Technician from 2002 to 2007. Meena Singh debuted as a second assistant camera person for an English family-drama film, Daany's Wish, released in 2001.
She assisted David Carlson as a cinematographer in the movie directed by Ian Keiser. The second project by Meena as a second assistant cameraperson is Marisol Adler's Boricua, released on 5 May 2004 under the guidance of Christopher Rejano. In 2009, she won the Award of Excellence at Accolade Competition in California, USA, shared with Andrea Vestrand and Valentina I Avayu. For the documentary film, Reflections Of Maya Rose, Meena Singh won the nomination for the WRIFF Award in 2014 at the Wild Rose Independent Film Festival and the Award of Excellence Depth of Feild International Film Festival Competition in 2015. For another documentary, Little Stones, Meena Singh, with Sophia Kruz, has won Best Documentary Award at Vail Film Festival and Jury Award at Toronto Female Eye Film Festival in 2017.
