Punit Pathak is an Indian dancer, choreographer and movie actor. He started his career as a participant in dance reality show Dance India Dance. He had choreographed , the famous TV actress in Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa. Also he had done acting in movie ABCD: Any Body Can Dance as Chandu who is a drug addict but dance changes his life and in the end he dies to a road accident. The latest hike in his career is to be declared as a Judge for Dance India Dance 5th Season. He had choreographed in DID, and Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa and tells that he was not born with silver spoon and had to struggle his way up to the ladder really hard to come so far. He used to travel in bus or train and dance was not allowed in his school. He started taking part in college fests only for dance. During that, were looking for young, energetic and talented dancers and he shined out of the 89 participants he auditioned and was selected at the last minute to dance with him and his group. He has worked with Terence Lewis for four years and now he himself is a choreographer.

His dream in the industry was to work in films but from his hard work that opportunities like ABCD and ABCD2 came his way and now he is both an actor and a dancer. His acting skills were appreciated by audiences in ABCD. Now life has come back to where it all started as Punit Pathak has been announced as a judge on the panel of Dance India Dance Season 5. He will be co-judging along with , the fun loving dancer boy who choreographed in many movies and Gati Siddiqui, a dancer. We must say that it is very rare that an ex-participant is selected to become a judge on the same show. It’s all due to his dedication and he is an inspiration to youth and new upcoming talent.
