The voice that took the entire nation by a storm during the finale of the singing reality shows Rising stars belongs to singer Aftab Singh. Aftab Singh was born in 2007 in the Deep Singhwala Village of Faridkot district in Punjab. Aftab is pursuing his school studies from St. Mary’s Convent School in Faridkot, Punjab. Aftab comes from a family where his father, Mahesh Singh, struggles to make ends meet. The family had to take a loan for even the roofing repair of their house. His family comprises his father, mother, two brothers, a sister, and himself.

Aftab Singh is a natural-born singer, blessed with a beautiful voice. His father, who is also a singer, trained him as a child. With his innate singing ability, he won several musical competitions in schools. Before venturing into the limelight, Aftab used to accompany his father to religious shows. In 2017, Aftab Singh took part in the singing reality show Sa Re Ga Ma Pa L’il Champs 2017. With top-notch performances in every round, Aftab got qualified in the top 8 but got eliminated before reaching the finale.

Aftab cleared the subsequent episodes with the maximum number of choices and also became the ticket to the final winner.

During the grand finale of the show, Aftab Singh stunned the entire nation and emerged as the winner of the show, with 89% votes.
