Vineeta Singh

Vineeta Singh is the CEO and co-founder of the famous makeup brand Sugar Cosmetics. She was born in 1983 in Anand, India. Vineeta completed her primary education at Delhi Public School, R. K. Puram. Later she joined the Indian Institute of Technology (Madras) to grab her Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering. However, to acquire her MBA degree, she attended the Indian Institute of Management (Ahmedabad). Meanwhile, during her MBA, she gained working experience as an intern for Deutsche Bank. Later the company offered her a job with an annual salary package of Rs 1 crore, but Vineeta deliberately rejected it. Since 2007 she has tried establishing her venture but failed to perform well in the growing market.

Her first-ever start-up was Quetzal which Vineeta presented in 2007. But with lots of loopholes and drawbacks, the company couldn't stand prominently. However, again in 2012, she put forward her second brand Fab-Bag. But that also couldn't do well in the market. In the end, her third venture with her husband changed her destiny. In 2015 the couple founded Sugar Cosmetics, which has now become one of the leading cosmetic brands around the globe. With a lot of hard work and dedication, the couple has pushed the brand to achieve the topmost position. Moreover, in September 2022, Ranveer Singh showed interest in Sugar Cosmetics and invested a huge amount of money.

Sugar Cosmetics has opened several doors for Vineeta Singh which has helped her to appear in some of the greatest magazines like Forbes India, Business Today, and Businessworld. On the other hand, Forbes India has encouraged her by enlisting her as one of its Forbes India W-Power list of women achievers in 2021. Vineeta is a married woman who walked down the aisle in 2011 with Kaushik Mukherjee. They also have two kids. Vineeta Singh is an inspirational identity.

She has participated in at least 20 ultramarathons and 12 half-marathons. Moreover, when she was pregnant participated in the Mumbai Marathon in 2018. From 2001-2005 she earned 2 Gold and 2 Silver medals for IIT Madras. In 2019 she achieved the other Start-up of the Year award by Entrepreneur Awards, Delhi. Vineeta also enlisted her name in the BW Disrupt 40 Under 40 Award by Businessworld in 2021 and the World Economic Forum's Young Global Leadership list in 2022.
