Ghazal Alagh

Ghazal Alagh is an Indian entrepreneur who has established herself as the founder of the beauty brand MamaEarth. Ghazal was born on 2nd September 1988 in Gurgaon, India. Her parents were Sunita Sahni and Kailash Sahni. Ghazal also has two siblings named Chirag Sahni and Sahiba Chauhan. She attended her school in Chandigarh. Later she joined Punjab University to gain a degree in BCA. However, after completing her post-graduation, she earned the opportunity to work with a renowned company. Soon after getting her job and degrees, she tied the knot with Varun Alagh in 2011. With her husband, Ghazal established a beauty brand that doesn't contain any chemicals or toxins. Initially, MamaEarth put forward baby products, but later, the couple expanded their brand and began to explore other junctures of toxin-free cosmetics.

Before starting MamaEarth, she began her career as a corporate trainer in 2008. Within four years, she thought of constructing her own company. Soon in 2012, she founded Diet Expert, which worked out for one year and two months, not more than that. After facing so many obstacles lately, in 2016, she founded MamaEarth with his husband, Varun. But there is a long back story behind the foundation of this brand. The idea of establishing such a brand for children bloomed when she couldn't get the perfect and toxin-free baby products for her son. Being a mother, Ghazal understood the importance of chemical-free cosmetic baby products for children. However, with lots of research and dedication, Ghazal developed the brand MamaEarth. Before presenting the products to the audience Ghazal, initially took the reviews of about 700 women who had used the effect on their children for some time.

However, Ghazal Alagh has worked much more smartly when branding her products. She has focused on the targeted audience and educated the audience about her product through social media and YouTube. However, with a lot of hard work and enthusiasm, the Beauty Skincare & baby care brand MamaEarth has become a vast company serving the audience in each corner of the planet. The audience has noticed her in Shark Tank India as a jury member. In the show, she has invested in many companies and assisted young and rising entrepreneurs in India to expand their brands and gain profit from them.
