Nitesh Kripalani

Nitesh Kripalani is an Angel investor, Advisor, and Mentor who works in the Indian Business Industry. He completed his Masters in Business Administration in Strategy from INSEAD in 2005. He lives in Mumbai, Maharashtra. He was Executive Vice-President: New Media, Business Development & Digital/Syndication at Sony from 2009 to 2014 and he was recruited directly by the then CEO and chairman Man Jit Singh. He built Sony's New Media and Digital business from zero. The revenue stream of the company in three years is a multi-million-dollar business. Sony has been the leader amongst Indian broadcasters to launch two Premium Video-on-Demand services – Sony LIV in January 2013 and then LIV Sports in June 2014.

He also conceptualized and led the launch of Sony's 1st ever ever-sports channel – SIX in April 2012. Including business plans, Sports federations, agency relationships, team hiring, and launch. He led multiple rights bids including – BCCI Cricket rights, English Premier League, West Indies, IPL International and New Media rights, NBA, UFC, and others. He joined Sony in 2009, where his primary role was to assist the CXOs in turning around the business from a loss-making unit to a sustainable profit-making unit. He joined Amazon in December 2014 as director and country head of Amazon Prime Video India. 

He has strong international experience in New Media, Telecom/Tech, and Strategy across start-ups and corporations. He has previously worked with British Telecom in London, A.T. Kearney in Singapore, and Outsourcing startups - OfficeTiger and Ajuba Solutions. He has invested in multiple start-ups in Seed Round such as Fewcents in 2021, Bonhomia in 2015, Klip in 2015, and Timesaverz in 2014. He is the advisor and mentor at the company 'Qqruz'. Nitesh is an opinion leader in the Digital/New media industry, widely interviewed/consulted. He has been recognized in the IMPACT Digital Power 100 list for 2013 and also, one of the Business Today magazine's "Top 40 under 40" 2014 list of high-performing executives.
