In 1998, animation in the country was still in its beginning. Suresh teamed up with Mumbai's Famous Studios to launch an animation section that will focus on Indian mythology and history. The first episode of 'Legend of Sivaji,' a three-part series based on the life of Emperor Sivaji, was his debut effort at Famous Studios. Unfortunately, the broadcasters refused to pay more than Rs.70,000 for a half-hour episode of 'Legend of Sivaji,' hence canceling the show.Â
Famous Studio's animation division was unfortunately shut down. On the other hand, Suresh was adamant about not giving up and failing his team.
