Ameen Sayani was born on 21st December, 1932 in Mumbai, Maharashtra. He studied at the famous Scindia school and St.Xavier's college. He is a prominent RJ and also an announcer. He has been active from his age of 20. He got married to Rama who had passed away. He is considered to be one of the best presenters in India.
His biggest achievement is that he happened out to be an imitated announcer as of date. His approach of addressing by “Behno aur Bhaiyo” sounds out to be a melodious touch of greeting. He had been an anchor for about fifty four thousand shows in radio and nineteen thousand voice overs for slogans right from 1951. He got into All India Radio, Mumbai by Hamid Sayani.
He also acted in a few movies like Qatl, Boxer, Teen Devian, Bhoot Bungla, and so forth. Apart from working as a radio jockey, he established himself as a producer of music albums. He released it in the name of Geetmala and there are about 50 volumes of the collection is available. He gave the farewell tributes to
Yash Chopra
and R.P.Goenka. This series had become an immense hit and it highlighted the evergreen hit musical numbers. Ameen Sayal had won many honours and awards which include Gold Medal (1991), Living Legend Awards (2006), Golden Abby by Advertising Club, Kaan Hall of Fame (2003), Mumbai (2000), Person of the Year Award (1992) and Hall of Fame Award (1993). Ameen Sayal is such an honour to the country of India in all the aspects of development. He is a big Icon of India.
