Reetu Jain

Reetu Jain is a dancer, choreographer, actress, and philanthropist, known for the dance number alongside legendary actor Naseerudin Shah in the 2012 film Chaalis Chauraasi Click to look into! >> Read More... . She was born and brought up in Houston, U.S.A., and worked as a Certified Public Accountant in Austin, Texas. She has settled in Mumbai to scout for opportunities and to pursue her acting career. 

Reetu Jain pursued dance from childhood, as her mother, a trained Kathak dancer motivated her to take up dance.  She was trained in various dance forms like Bharatanatyam and Kuchipudi for over fifteen years. She has also learned other dance forms like tribal belly dance, flamenco, and the tribal dances of Uganda. She debuted as a dancer in the 2012 film Chaalis Chauraasi and acted alongside Naseerudin Shah. She has also appeared in some television advertisements and played a lead role in a short film about human trafficking.  

Apart from acting, she is also a teacher and teaches belly dance. She has also performed in various shows and festivals around India. Reetu Jain is also a certified therapeutic movement facilitator and has developed gender-gap bridging courses to combat gender inequality. She also participated as an ADTA Talks Speaker at the 50th Conference of the American Dance Therapy Association in October 2015.
