Kusum Tikoo

Kusum Tikoo is an actor, anchor, director, dancer, producer, and event manager. She is the managing director at Vishesh Productions. Also, she is the film producer and actor at Doordarshan National (DD1). She went to Nehru Memorial Academy before enrolling at Degree College Udhampur. There, she developed an interest in cultural festivals, which attracted the attention of the Doordarshan director; she also worked in many serials for DD1, DD Kashmir, and DD Urdu and hosted many programs for Zee Kashmir.

She also worked in Dogri films, producing Reet Pahari and Lakeer. She has also acted in classical contemporary serials as well. She performed in Nnaga Rukh (Dogra Classics), Chanani De Chor (Dogri), Samjhi Dharti Barkhle Mahnu ( in House), Bakare Bakhre Sach (Dogri), K.S.Madhukar (In House) and Gui Baqawali (Kashmir Classics). She also performed in plays such as Jurmana, Sarhad, Ujale, Tanhayian, Majboorian, Mulukat, Bahu Bi Beti Hai, Hayass, Fasle, and Safa. Kusum won the Best Dancer award in 1988, 1989, 1990, 1991, 1993, and 1994 in Jammu. In 2008-2009, she was proclaimed the Best Actress for the play Ae Ladki in Dogri Language and for Graed in Kashmiri Language during the 2014-2015 Drama Festivals by J&K Academy of Arts, Culture and Languages.
