Manohar Janardhan Dixit was born on 12th November 1906 in Sinnar, Maharashtra's Nasik district. He was a district magistrate's eldest son. He debuted in 1930. “Mahatma” was his last film, released in 1953. Janardhan Dixit died of a massive heart attack on 29th June 1949, in Mumbai, at 42. As Baburao Patel pointed out, Dixit had a 220-pound bundle of anxieties with a hypochondriac mentality that continuously imagined various disorders and several fake concerns. At “Navjivan” studios, Dixit began his career as a cameraman's assistant. Along with Jairaj and Madhav Kale, he was cast in the 1930 film "Sharkling Youth." Previously, someone indicated he would look lovely as a nawab. He joined “Ranjit Film Company” after starring in three more films, “Badmash”, “Bijli”, and “Vandevi” (all released in 1930).
He had a heart attack during the principal photography of “Puggree” in 1947. Ghory and Adixit appeared in films like "Do Badmaash”, “Sitamgarh”, “Toofani Toli”, and “Bhola Raja”. “Ranjit Studios” produced their primary films. Unlike Laurel and Hardy, they only had minor roles in their movies. Dixit was overweight, while Ghory was slim. They appeared in several early talkies as a comedy duo. Chandulal Shah made certain that his studio was full of the top actors and comedians. Manohar Janardhan Dixit was one of them.
