Nazir Ahmed Ghory was born in Bombay on 11th August 1901. In 1927, he debuted in Bhagwati Prasad Mishra’s “Alladin and His Wonderful Lamp” and “Scented Devil.” Ghory has worked for several production businesses. Later, he joined “Ranjit Film Company.” “Duniyadaari”, his last Indian film, was released in 1948. Ghory moved to Pakistan after Dixit's death. He continued to act until his death on 9th December 1977, at 76.
Ghory and Dixit, a comedic duo consisting of Nazir Ahmed Ghory and Manohar Janardhan Dixit, was founded. During the 1930s and 1940s, they worked in the Indian film industry. Nazir Ahmed also appeared in the critically acclaimed silent film “The Magic Flute” (1929), directed by Mohan Bhavnani. He moved across organizations before landing at the “Ranjit Film Company.” He appeared in a few silent films. After being coupled with Dixit, he achieved massive success.
According to some reports, after relocating to Pakistan, he continued to act in movies, such as “Anokhi Mandi” (1956) and “Funkar” (1956),” and others. Ghory passed away on 9th December 1977. Ghory was trim and slim. Ghory and Dixit appeared in various early talkies. They worked as a comedy duo in movies. In the 1932 talkie “Char Chakram,” the two first appeared together. “Bhola Shikar”, “Do Badmaash”, “Bhool Bhulaiya” and “Vishivamohini”, also directed by Desai. He acted in Ranjit Films' productions until 1947. Ghory and his partner Dixit were renowned as India's Laurel and Hardy. Because of his body type, Ghory was cast as Laurel at first. But, their relationship blossomed over time. Jayant Desai directed most of Ghory's films. Some of his movies include Bhola Shikar (1933), Bhutia Mahal (1932), Bhool Bhulaiya (1933), and Nadira (1934).”

He died on 9th December 1977 and was buried in Rawalpindi.
