Dev Kumar

Dev Kumar was born in 1930 in the Bombay Presidency, British India. He changed his name from Chaman Lal Kohli to Dev Kumar for his career. In 1971, he quit Hindi films and went to work in Hollywood. But he returned in 1972. Dev’s second wife was Namrata.

On 17 September 1990, he gave a motivational speech at Mumbai’s K.C. College. After giving the speech, he returned to sit on his chair, where he suffered a massive heart attack, and passed away. Dev Kumar had two daughters and a son from his first marriage. Their names are Praveen Kanta Kohli, Madhumita Kohli and Veer Karan Kohli, respectively. Dev also has two daughters and a son from his second marriage. The first child Manisha is married to Daksh Shetty. The second child Divya has a successful business. And his third child Rajni is also married, she’s married to Sanjiv Rajadhyaksha and they have a child, Uma Rajadhyaksha. Rajni and Sanjiv have a clinic together called Small Animal Clinic in Khar.
