Amitabha A Gupta

Amitabh A. Gupta is an Indian actor, producer, and director mostly recognized for his contributions to the Indian film industry. Popularly known as Aamit Gupta, he was born on November 29, 1963, into a Bengali-speaking household. He received his diploma from Campion School in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh. He received a gold medal for chemical engineering from the National Institute of Tech in Raipur, Chhattisgarh, India. He also holds an MBA in finance from IMS in Indore, MP, India.

Before quitting his banking profession in 2016 to focus full-time on his love of acting and directing movies, he held several senior positions in the Indian banking industry in both Delhi and Mumbai. Under the capable direction of Shri Arvind Gaurji, he studied theater in Delhi from 2010 to 2012 in Asmita Theatre Group. He also participated in several stage productions in Delhi and Kolkata.
