Brij Joshi is a music director from Gujarat. He was born on 9th October 1960 in Lakhtar district Surendranagar, Gujarat. His father Indrakant Joshi is a retired professor from BVM Engineering College Vallbh Vidyanagar, Gujarat. His mother name is Dharmisthaben. He has done his school education from KG to Higher Secondary at D N High School, Anand, Gujarat. He has a degree in Mechanical Engineering [B.E.(Mechanical)] from Sardar Patel University, Vallabh Vidyanagar, Gujarat, India. He was very fond of music from a very young age and wanted to pursue music as his profession, so he started learning Indian classical music like Vocal, Violin and Harmonium from his guru Shri Laxmiprasad Ji at a very young age. After his education he shifted to Mumbai to learn music from the famous music director and son of Kalyanji Shri Viju Shah. During that period up to 1985, he was a lecturer in the Mechanical Engineering Department of Bhagubhai Polytechnic at Mumbai.

After that he also worked in Mechanical Engineering Department of B&B Polytechnic at Vallabh Vidyanagar. But his love for music brought him back to the music field and he became music director and started performing live with the band name of Brij Joshi & Party. His group Brij Joshi & Party has very versatile singers and musicians performing all types of musical shows like Bollywood songs, Bhakti Sangeet, Raas and Garba etc. in different countries like UK, USA and Canada. He has done more than 400 albums and 15 movies. Due to his international achievements, awards and contribution in the field of music, he has been approved a green card by the United States Government of America in April 2021. He was also awarded by the Government of Gujarat & Indian Cultural Soc of Union NJ USA. He won the Best Music Director award in 2006 by Transmedia Mumbai. Some of his famous songs are Duha, Mumbai Thi Gadi Aavi, Kukdo, Tildi Re, etc.
