Bengali-based musical artist Dhiren Bose was born in 1930. Dhiren was an outstanding sangeet exponent, and his melodious voice is appraised by all who listen to it. Dhiren released LP albums and singles such as Nazrul Geeti, Mor Priya Hobey Esho, Chand Herichhey Chandmukh, Dur Dwipobasini, and many more. During his lifetime, Dhiren composed over a hundred songs in a career which lasted four decades. He passed away in December 2006 in a hospital in South Kolkata after suffering a heart attack. He was one of the greatest Nazrul sangeets amongst his peers, and his legacy shall be remembered for years to come. Today, Dhiren is survived by his wife and daughter.
